ASCC Winter Rally Series 2001

Easy Touring Rallies over snow covered forest roads

Jackson Box Trail, Douglas County, Wisconsin

Winter is a great time for rallies in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan. The snow fills the imperfections, dust is kept to a minimum, and drivers can practice sliding even at slow speeds. The ASCC Winter Rally Series offers easy course following, with Tulip diagrams to show the route through intersections, and to warn of sharp curves or rough sections of road. The format and roads are similar to those used for Performance Rallies, but at legal (though brisk!) speeds. Northern Minnesota rallies begin near Duluth, and are 100 to 300 miles in length.

Pro Rally thrills without the expense!

Ever wanted to run a SCCA ProRally but couldn't afford the time or expense to build a car, maintain a tow vehicle and trailer, and cover the high entry fees? You can afford to run the entire ASCC Winter Rally Series for less than one ClubRally entry fee, and you get five weekends of driving fun without destroying your car.

The format and roads are similar to those used for ProRallies, but at legal speeds. The ASCC Winter Rally Series is an excellent opportunity for ProRally and ClubRally teams to get familiar with their equipment, Performance rally roads, and how to read the route book. It is also a chance for aspiring ClubRallyists to determine if they are ready to step up to the rigors of ClubRallying.
