1993 ASCC Wolf's Nose Rallye
March 6, 1993 A rapid melt of area snow during the week preceeding the Wolf's Nose Rallye was a cause for concern, but did not deter the five teams who chose to contest the final event of the 1993 ASCC Winter Rallye Series. The rally took its name from the twice run SCCA National Touring Rally, and used some of the same roads north of Duluth, noteably Rossini Road and Fox Farm Road. Todd Larson and Mike McConnell again ran a perfect event to come home with a total score of zero. A couple of small miscues by the LaCrosse area team of John Emmons and Lois Van Vleet, who tied for first on the previous rally, put them into second with only seven points. Winning Class C were the ASCC team of Randy Jokela and Jon Anderson at 21. Despite a second in class finish on the Wolf's Nose, Al Taylor took the year-end Driver's trophy as a result of first place finishes in the first two events. Mike McConnell was the series winning Navigator for 1993.
